    A day at the fair

Today I was at the Kitsap County Fair & Stampede.  I must say it is quite the experience if you've never been to a REAL "County Fair".  From farm animal petting barns to real rodeos.  This fair has it all.  But I couldn't believe that they actually had a "best of..." exhibition hall.  Best Jelly, Best Baked Goods, Best Vegetables, ect...  REALLY?! (with a curious sarcastic face!)

Had I known about this exhibition, I would have entered in a few corkscrews!  I could have won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for a clean sweep (as there were no other corkscrew entries)!

    Sleepless near Seattle

It's 12:42 am out here.  What better way to spend my sleepless night than surfing the web for corkscrews!  I've got ebay covered pretty well, so I'm sticking to the Google searches.  Hopefully we can find an "old gold knight corkscrew - $20.00 " somewhere available for purchase.  Wish me luck!

I did come across an interesting piece on everyone's favorite auction site.  It's a Steel Mermaid!  Pretty cool piece and super hard to find.  She's been on my want list for a few years now.  Unfortunately, this one is slightly bent (well REALLY bent).  I wonder what the realized price will be as I can't ever remember seeing one being listed before.  I might bid, and I might not.  But I will be watching!

If anyone's got one that's in SLIGHTLY better condition, I'm interested!  Cash, Check, or Trade!  Email me at syrocokid@gmail.com

    Slacker!

So I London wasn't in the cards this year, but I'm looking forward to Boston already!

With most of the "big dogs" attending the festivities in London, I've been scoring some good deals.

A Syroco Indian, a Syroco Clown head only, Walker Repousse Sterling piece, a RARE Metal Sheath Flash, a Perfect, and a Tusk w/ Sterling L'Excelsor type.  A nice lot if I say so myself!

But the best has yet to arrive.....!!!

    August already?

Where does the time go?!  Summer is nearly over!  Only 3 months left in the Corkscrew Collector's Fiscal Year!  Tentatively, the Best 6 is going to be:

    Sterling Haff Roundlet
    14K Gold Fairchild Roundlet
    Full Body Syroco Indian
    U-Neek
    Gottfried Krueger Brewing
    4 Pillar King's Rack

BUT who knows what the final 6 will be.....  Some corkscrews that are still on my want list are:  Crosby Pup, Syroco Tramp, Chippendale, S Patent, Syroco Golden Knight, Syroco Country Gentleman, Strait Patent, Metal Mermaid, Bloeser Floor Standing Corkscrew, Blue Ross Pig, Peerless Open Frame, Griswold, ect........................................
