    I love the Mall!!

Well, it was a nice day in Chicago until the thunderstorm! I got off early today and decided to hit the local malls. Antique Malls that is. I was fortunate to find a few treasures. First I came across a Flash corkscrew from Wisconsin Dells. And the other one I found is a simple Italian double lever, but it has an Owl head on it. This exact Owl is featured on a fellow collectors site for $350!! I'd be happy to offer it to anyone for $150. Any takers?

    The King of Screws!

Goodness it's been a while. It's been a very busy week for me, as I'm left all alone on Ebay to fend for myself, as Josef and Mark are both on vacation. There have been several exciting listings like the Ladies Legs w/advertising plates, another Scotty Dog screw, a Tramp opener, and the Mint Monk! I have not acquired any of them yet, but I remain hopeful. I did receive in the mail a Kings Screw! I've wanted one for quite some time now. It has a full worm and a nice badge. The mechanism works well and has no signs of missing teeth. Although one side of the handle is broken, I'm very happy with the find. Anyone have some words of advice regarding me replacing the handle? I could REALLY use some guidance!

    Fantastic Bone Henshall

Today the weather was beautiful in Chicago! Sunny, breezy, NO HUMIDITY, and plenty of cicadas. Though all of these are enjoyable on a daily basis, by far my most favorite thing is seeing what the Fairy God Postmaster has left me! Today turned up a paper wrapped package via Royal Mail. To my surprise, as I often forget, was a fantastic Bone handled Henshall w/brush. It's in great shape! No cracks, original brush, sharp point, but missing it's hang ring. This is ideal Ebay booty, but I think it looks better on display in my coffee table. Don't you agree?

    Williamson Tusk

Here is the latest arrival. I've been eager to get one of these for a while now. Welcome to your new home! Does anyone have a carved one to spare?

    The Trophy Trophy

In between scouring Ebay, Flea markets, and antique malls, golf usually takes up the rest of my free time. There is always a friendly bet or two of corkscrews to be won, just to make things interesting. Josef and I, along with a couple friends had a weekly game in which a Trophy was awarded to the winner each week. It ultimately ended up in our friend Noah's hands at the end of the season, but I have finally found a duplicate of the Trophy! It's a modern type, key chain, Peg and Worm that features a golf ball on the end. I may not be the best golfer in the world, but I have the trophy that says I am!

    Syroco Corkscrew G/W

Here is a fine example of a Syroco German Shepherd or Police Dog Brush. This one has a gold paint job and very unique multi colored bristles. Has anyone seen one like this? It looks very consistent and original, considering how many of these I've had.
