    An oldie but goodie!

    Twisted Like A Corkscrew

Al and Don were standing at the urinals in a public bathroom, when Al looked over and noticed that Don's penis was twisted like a corkscrew.

"Wow," Al said. "I've never seen one like that before."

"What do you mean?" Don asked. "Like what?"

"All twisted like a pig's tail," Al said.

"Well, what is yours like?" asked Don.

"It's straight, like normal," Al replied.

"Geez, I thought mine was normal until I saw yours," Don said.

Al finished what he was doing and started to give his member a shake before putting it back in his pants.

"What did you do that for?" asked Don.

"To shake off the excess drops," explained Al. "Like normal."

"Shit!" exclaimed Don. "All these years I've been wringing it!"

    Sleeping at the wheel......

I've been playing catch up for the past several days.  Lots of searching, but really just getting back into rhythm.  I did see a Fairchild Sterling Roundlet ending today, but figured it'd go pretty high in the final seconds.  Well...... You snooze, you loose.  At least one of the boyz got it for a good price.

It will be heading to the East Coast, so if anyone knows the Post Master in Needham Heights, drop me a line!  There's a BIG REWARD if you can re-route the package to Bainbridge Island!

    Fun and Done!

I've spent the last 6 days entertaining a friend from Chicago.  There has been lots of food, laughs, sight seeing, and driving!  We started out on the mainland (Seattle), and then headed north to Canada for a several days and then back.  Needless to say, not too much time was allotted for corkscrewing.   BUT we did stay at the Corkscrew Inn located in Vancouver, BC.  It has fabulous custom corkscrew stained glass windows, mini show cases throughout, and even a corkscrew museum! SO COOL!  Nice job Wayne!  Check out the website for more info:

It appears that the boys have been busy while I've been away.  A Clamshell Pocket screw, a DICO Patent, and a Twigg were acquired this past week for bargain prices.  I've obviously been missing out.  Time to play catch up over the next few days!

    One Cool Corkscrew!

I'd like to thank Don Bull for pointing this one out!  It's SO COOL!  Every corkscrew collector should have one of these!  Well at leas the video....

    A busy AM!

JL has done it again!  He found another Gottfried Krueger Brewery Corkscrew!  I've regretted trading him mine for a while now.  And since then he has found 2 additional ones!  Good thing he lives on the opposite coast, as I'm sure he'd like to dangle them in front of my face!  Kudos JL.

ALSO, it seems that there is another CCCC member on this little island!  I wonder what goodies he might have available to trade?   At least I know who my REAL competition is!

    A long time coming

Finally!  I've had this one on the want list for about 5 years!  A little red devil head has arrived on the Island!  I believe this is the "smaller" version.  He did come with a little red heart attached.  Anyone know if it's an original "add on"?  Does anyone have a Large Version they would like to part with?  Email me at syrocokid@gmail.com!

    (sigh!).....I'm back home......score.

YES!  I'm back on the Island.  After a LONG day of hunting, a couple NICE pieces found, I decided be grateful for my finds and spend my Birthday (Sunday) at home with family (and Ebay).

The show was great!  I came across many booths with corkscrews, but aggressively priced.  Not sure how many people are willing to pay $1200 for a Thomason, but if you want one, it's in Portland.  I even saw the guy with FAKE bone carvings.  I bit my tongue and walked away.  I guess it was a test from the corkscrew gods, as I was rewarded later on!  2 Sterling Perfume Corkscrews w/Sheaths were discovered amongst a case of stuff.  I wonder what JL has in mind for trading......?

    Heading out!

    K.  Only a half hour off this am.  I'm heading south to the Portland Expo for an antique show today.  I've also got about 14 pages of maps and antique shops to hit today and tomorrow.  There's bound to be at least ONE corkscrew treasure!  Hopefully the corkscrew gods have a special Birthday Corkscrew hidden for me tomorrow!  I can hardly wait!  If you're attending the show, flag down the big kid with spiky hair looking through the beanie babies basket!

    $125 is NOT £125

More often than not, I am quickly making bids, adding to my watch list, and setting snipes for corkscrews.  Every once in a while I forget to look at the currency!  My most recent mishap was on this VERY FINE Henshall.  I meant to bid $125, but neglected to see that it was in GBP!  Lucky for me it only went to $140's.  It's really nice, so maybe it will hang out in the drawer.  Good thing I was not bidding on a Clown for $1000!

    Before I turn in.....

Seriously, this Corkscrew Facebook thing is really funny.  LOTS of friends (10 in the last 2 hours), poking, writing on walls......  It's a lot of fun!  I really hope everyone will participate in adding stories, comments, and pics.  A group effort will only enhance the already entertaining forum.  I only wish it was started years ago.

    K.  Before I go to bed each night I TRY to check the watch list.  Make a few bold snipes, and a few loose ones, but tonight is tough.  A U-Neek is ending soon and so is a German Double spring.  I'd like them both, but prices are climbing.  "Survey Says" there's a good chance to win either for a good price.  BUT how to snipe.....?  Errrrrr!!!  Reality is a sleepless night ahead dreaming of corkscrews.

    YES! Finally!

A very cool piece will be on it's way to the island sooner than later I hope.  A very small red devil's head corkscrew.  Once used to identify poisons, this corkscrew has been on the "want list" for several years now.  There is an added bonus in this lot though.  A little red heart is hanging from the helix.  Not sure what it's purpose was, but when it arrives I'll have to ask the guys on the CC Facebook group.  Regardless, I'm very excited to add this to the private collection!

    Are you on Facebook?

I've never had a Facebook Profile, but I had to sign up as I was invited to the Corkscrew Collectors Group on Facebook yesterday!  Pretty cool.  Thanks to DB for creating the group!  If you want to join, here is the link
