October 31 Home sweet home!Yes, I know.....Well I'm back from a nice vacation in Seattle. The P's are doing well and really like the new girlfriend. I was able to hit up 3 antique malls, but saved my money. I did a lot of shipping yesterday and have all my International still to go for todays agenda. At least I was able to get my Best 6 submitted on time thanks to Josef! Feel free to make crazy and outrageous offers to pry these babies from my display! October 11 Hittin the streetsWell, today was an unexpected day off opportunity, so I took it! I decided to hit my local antique malls. At my first stop the local guy "George" was on site and pulled out the "famous" box of corkscrews that is rarely brought into daylight from the dungeon where it's kept from sight. Amongst the mass of retro direct pulls and beat up Williamson's and Walkers were a couple worth asking about. A German Rack & Pinion, a Henshall, and a folk art Monk. Needless to say $229, $150, $249 were a little pricey for my taste. I wish I had his customers on my email list! The other two malls only got another disappointed customer leaving empty handed. If you haven't read you latest CCCC Quarterly Worm you are missing out! What a great article on Charles Hull! I actually a Royal Club for $349 back in January, but I was just the victim of a classic ebay scam. Western Union Only...Item Location China. Good thing I didn't send in payment. Boy, what a bummer that was. I'll double the $349 if anyone wants to sell me a Royal Club! October 04 A little behind....Ok, Here is the truth. I recently gained a Girlfriend. Things are VERY exciting and fun. So...I'm a little behind. I hope everyone has taken advantage of the open market while I've been preoccupied. I really have not bought too much lately. But I should on top of things as she is understanding of my addiction. I hope your corkscrew is not in this pile, but if it is... I'm going to the post office NOW!!! |
